In Service to Arkansas Students
Since joining the University of Arkansas System in November of 2021, UA Grantham has become an attractive option for adult learners in Arkansas who appreciate the convenience and flexibility of online learning.
For context, in 2020 and 2021, the two years prior to joining the University of Arkansas System, 70 university graduates were from Arkansas.
By the middle of 2023 Arkansas became the state from which the university graduates the highest number of students, a trend that continued into 2024.
- In 2023 the university graduated 143 students from Arkansas, across all programs.
- In 2024 the university graduated 153 Arkansas residents; Arkansas ranks first as the state from which the university graduates the highest number of students.
Supporting Arkansas Rural Health Partnership
The Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) is a non-profit horizontal hospital and economic development organization composed of fourteen independently owned, South Arkansas rural hospitals.
A recipient of a government grant provided to support training and development of healthcare professionals in southeast Arkansas, ARHP partnered with UA Grantham in 2023 to offer residents of the south Arkansas delta tuition-free admission to UA Grantham fully-online certificate, associate, and bachelor’s degree programs in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, and Medical Coding and Billing.
In total, 80 Arkansas residents have enrolled in UA Grantham as part of this program, distributed as follows:
- Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration: 21 students
- Associate of Applied Science in Medical Administrative Assistant: 4 student
- Associate of Applied Science in Medical Coding and Billing: 27 students
- Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management: 9 students
- Certificate in Electronic Health Records: 3 student
- Certificate in Medical Administrative Assistant: 1 student
- Certificate in Medical Coding and Billing: 15 students
23 students have already graduated.
